Here is his inspiration for the book

The book is based on my seven (7) years direct observations, participation and communications in the contemporary Nigerian system from the villages, wards, LGAs, States and country. After over 25 years of American education and corporate experiences I went home as a returnee, missionary and/or expert depending on who you ask.

The book captures the structural, leadership and development challenges in the country and prescribes the way forward. There is an urgent need for real transformation starting at our States using what we call operational citizenship and smartphone democracy for comprehensive sustainable development planning and implementation.

Nigerian Governors are too powerful as they are not accountable for the resources nor their actions. They control their parties, legislatures, judiciaries, media, the bureaucracy, security apparatus, traditional institutions and even some of the religious leaders. They can even frustrate your business venture except maybe in Lagos and Abuja if you don't dance to thier tune. People know this but can't speak up due to relative poverty and dependency.

"His Excellency" can never be wrong so, if you speak up, they marginalize you or may even risk your security. Those of us in Diaspora are not helping matters because we are only "making internet noise" and hardly confront the situation for one selfish interest or the other.

Except we all arise and challenge the status quo; our villages, wards, clans, LGAs, States and the country is doomed.

That is why I joined Sonny Okosun to raise the question - Which Way Nigeria, Which Way Your State, Which Way Our Race, Which Way Africa? My humble opinion as articulated in the book is that a stable structure and transformational leadership for equitable sustainable development is the way forward. Practical implementation processes, agenda and action steps are outlined in the book for this and future generation of Nigerians.
